This week’s car donation features a 2010 Mazda3 that was donated to Marketplace through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program. Marketplace is part of American Public Media, a producer and distributor of award-winning public radio programming and podcasts. Marketplace reaches 14 million listeners each week on more than 800 public radio stations nationwide. Marketplace covers business and the economy in ways that everyone can understand. With a car donation to Marketplace, you’ll join the growing community of Marketplace Investors: generous listeners and superfans like you, dedicated to keeping fact-based, independent journalism going strong.

This donor shares his story about his 2010 Mazda3 and how much fun he had with this vehicle:

My 2010 Mazda is the first car I ever bought in September 2009. I had just moved from living in NYC and Tokyo after college, so it’s rare for a 30 year old to only have bought their first car at that age, but so be it. I loved this car. I call it a Gateway Car – it made me fall in love with driving and all the things that are great about driving other than the speed. It’s engaging, it’s fun, you can take it all the way and not be in any danger. It’s not fast but if you drive it right, you can feel how quick it is. The only downside is that the car makes you want more out of driving than it can deliver. Hope the next person has as much fun as I did.
