In 2022, Hennessey introduced the Venom F5 Roadster, touted as the fastest and most potent convertible globally, with a production limited to 30 units. Based on the Coupe variant, it features an 8 kg removable carbon roof panel coated in Alcantara. Owners have the option of a Merino wool travel bag for the panel. A tempered glass window at the rear provides a glimpse of the engine. Distinguishing it from the Coupe are specially crafted forged aluminum wheels with seven pairs of spokes resembling the letter “H”.
The example on offer here courtesy of Bring A Trailer is reportedly the second roadster created by Texas-based Hennessey Special Vehicles and it was delivered to its current owner in 2023. It boasts a carbon-fiber monocoque enveloped in Citrus Orange carbon-fiber body panels and is propelled by a Hennessey-developed 6.6-liter Fury V8 engine featuring twin turbochargers and dry-sump lubrication. Power is transmitted through a seven-speed automated manual transmission, delivering a factory-rated 1,817 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Hennessey claims that this open-top supercar has a top speed exceeding 300mph, significantly surpassing the current speed record of 265.6 mph held by the GT Spyder. Priced at $3 million, the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster commands nearly $1 million more than its Coupe counterpart.
Additional features include cross-drilled and ventilated carbon-ceramic disc brakes with blue-painted calipers, double-wishbone suspension with adjustable Penske coilover shock absorbers, electrically assisted steering, staggered-dimension forged alloy wheels anodized in black, carbon-fiber seats trimmed in Citrus Orange and black leather, and a carbon-fiber multifunction steering yoke.
