It’s not particularly that old when MG Motor’s poster boy Javed Afridi’s tweets teasing high-end lavish cars one after the other was just a source of fun for buyers. The car enthusiasts were privy to the whole episode which was sourcing back to the new entrant. But things have changed now, the company is gearing up to break grounds while unloading its chequered past.
The company is embarked on launching a series of vehicles counting electric vehicles, hybrid, and plug-in electric vehicles in Pakistan. After revealing the two new variants of MG HS and two electric vehicles, MG Pakistan is all set to launch another premium EV soon.
As per our sources, the automaker carries a plan to bring MG 4 Mulan EV (hot hatch) to the country.
- Price – The base variant of the car will come with a price tag of Rs. 1,200,0000, whilst the fully loaded top variant will be priced at Rs. 1,300,0000.
- Power – Sources also disclosed that the upcoming electric vehicle will be equipped with 51 kWh.
- Range – The range of the car per charge is 438 km.
Other specifications and features of the EV are yet to be revealed.
Price of Upcoming ZS EV
Mind you, MG 4 hot-hatch is not the only EV coming to the country this year. The Chinese carmaker is also launching the latest generation of ZS EV worth Rs. 1,430,0000.
MG carries a plan to secure a spot on the podium, offering a wide range of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) Plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs), and fully electric vehicles (EVs). The automaker has a plan to bring locally assembled PHEVs involving a substantial investment of 50 million Chinese yuan (equivalent to approximately $7 million). For this purpose, the company seeks an EV-friendly policy from the government of Pakistan.
