History of chassis 9113600119

Chassis 9113600119 was an M471 Sport-optioned 2.7 Carrera RS retained by Porsche for press and promotional use.

Completed during November 1972 in Grand Prix White with blue graphics and wheel inlays, ‘0119’ was most famously used for a series of FIA speed records at the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany on July 28th 1973.

The record attempts were undertaken in collaboration with Martini and Continental with the latter wanting to promote their new TS range of tyres.

In anticipation of the outing at Ehra-Lessien, ‘0119’ (which sometimes wore the licence plate LB-P 44) was equipped with a 2.8 Carrera RSR engine.
