After a wait of few days, Changan Pakistan has finally revealed its new year offer on its crossover SUV, Oshan X7. As per a social media post by the company, there is a Rs. 300,000 price reduction on the vehicle. “The wait is over! Book your Oshan X7 now for Rs. 7,999,000 and save Rs. 300,000. ,” the post read.

However, this new year offer is valid till January 31, only.

It means that the offer is on its Comfort variant, currently costing Rs. PKR 8,299,000 which is a 7-seater. So, if you are a X7 fan and was planning to buy one, this is a good chance for you. It means that our sources were right and we reported correctly that this offer is regarding price of the car.

“ON” to Off

Changan is not the only company which has launched such discount offer. During last year, multiple companies have offered different discounts on their vehicles including free registration, price lock, and free insurance. In last year or so, the Pakistani car market has switched from an “ON” one to an “Off” one. Earlier, almost all cars were available on “ON” money meaning you had to pay extra to purchase one.

However, unstable economic condition and low sales have forced the car companies to introduce such offers. Sadly, the condition of the industry seems to remain same for foreseeable future and it may take quite a long period of stability in the country to be back on its feet. Due to repeated price increases in the recent past, the cars have become out of reach of a common man, which played a huge role in the low sales. As per PAMA numbers, the car sales in 2023 dropped over 60% due to these circumstances. Still, we hope that 2024 would be a good year for the car industry and market.
