The concept car ‘Afeela’ took over attention at the CES’24 while entering through a PS5 controller. The entertainment giant Sony has merged with Honda for their EV concept car under the banner of Sony Honda Mobility.

First Look at Afeela

This electric sedan will sneak through your momentum instead of thrusting its appearance with bold and aggressive looks. It disregards a wedgy profile with smooth curves and effortless moves. Competing against the Tesla Model S and Lucid Air, Afeela emphasizes on a low-key design made for comfort instead of grabbing attention.

Design Features

The striking design focuses on 3D creation integrated with the PlayStation5 Dual-sense controller, while the 3D dashboard display extends from door to door to keep its passengers informed and entertained throughout the journey powered by a n Epic Games’ Unreal 5.3 Engine.

This concept car features a yoke-style steering wheel with ambient lighting, while the other computer-aided ADAS features include Lane Keep, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Emergency Braking.

The Afeela’s cabin gives a spacious and minimalistic feel while driving on the air suspension making the ride smooth and noiseless.

Afeela Engine

This self-driving car features an All-Wheel Drive with a twin motor of 180 KW producing a combined power of 483 HP. While it promotes fast DC charging of the 91 KWH battery.

Sony Honda Mobility has announced another partnership with Microsoft for their project Azure Ai-cloud scale computing for Afeela’s development.
