The Honda Accord is the premium lineup from the automaker since 1970 and is still famous among youngsters due to its never-ending charm and sportiness. CL9 was introduced in 2002 and continued in production in 2008; even after two decades, this is the sedan that people prefer buying to keep up with their luxury game. Let’s talk about its specifications in this blog post.

Honda Accord-Overview

CL9 and CL7 were two variants of Accord introduced together. CL9 came up with a 2400cc engine, and CL7 came with a 2000cc engine. Their predecessor model was CF3, which was discontinued in 2002.

Interior and Exterior

The car we reviewed was in a vibrant blue color with a Modulo body kit installed. It had a simple front fascia with a sleek yet basic grille. Having projection headlamps and fog lights integrated into the bumper gave it a minimalistic look. Moving on to the side profile, it had multi-spoke rims of 17 inches with Continental tires, chrome handles, and indicators integrated with side mirrors. However, its rear profile was sporty with dual exhaust, slim headlights with individual globe bulbs, and Accord emblems. The trunk capacity was quite decent, with the accommodation of a spare tire and a storage space for tools. Moreover, it had retractable mirrors, multi-media steering, dual-zone climate ctrl, and two airbags.

Accord CL9 Engine Specs

CL9 featured a K24A engine capable of producing 198 HP and 235 Nm torque. It was a base variant with 5-speed auto transmission with forward wheel drive.

Basically, its owner, Daniyal, wanted a sedan for his family and was looking for a Honda Reborn but ended up taking CL9 for its cleaner look in used cars.

Fuel Economy and Maintenance

For sure, CL9 had a poor fuel economy of 7 Km/L due to its bigger engine, and its maintenance also fell on the higher side at around Rs. 12,000 for every 5,000 Km, including oil and filter changes.

Honda Accord CL9 Used Price

It comes in a price bracket of PKR 25 lacs, which is quite decent if you are looking for a luxury and style statement on a budget, but if you are looking for fuel economy and a better pick, the Toyota Mark X is a better choice.
