History of chassis 30015
Chassis 30015 was one of 37 Aston Martin V8 Volantes built with coachwork by Zagato and one of 27 completed in 1988.
It was configured in Vulcan Black with Black upholstery, right-hand drive and automatic transmission. Two other Zagato Volantes were completed to a similar specification, but with left-hand drive (chassis 30023 and 30029, both of which were also 1988 cars and destined for Germany).
By contrast, chassis 30015 was a domestic market example that remained in the UK. Uniquely, it was sent to Aston Martin Works Service for conversion to Vantage engine and cosmetic specification. It is depicted here at Bramley Motor Cars in Guildford during late 1992, at which point it was on the registration 50 NN.
