Cars of My Parents’ Homeland: Drive the Bid Podcast

My parents were born in Argentina and emigrated to California in 1964. Growing up, I made several family trips to their homeland to visit family. Being the budding car guy that I was, I absorbed everything automotive I could. One thing that struck me were the variations of American cars: the Chevrolet 400 and Chevy Coupé, Dodge GTX and Coronado, Ford Falcon, and more. In this week’s edition of AutoHunter.com‘s Drive the Bid podcast, I showed partner Derek Shiekhi several of these quirky American expats.

For news, we discussed a Bentley outdoors/off-road experience in Rhode Island, the 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman John Cooper Works, and an update on Steve Magnante, everyone’s favorite Barrett-Jackson emcee.

And Derek threw an automotive puzzle at me that I simply could not determine. Can you figure out the connection?

And, finally, Derek and I chose some of our favorite cars currently listed on AutoHunter, including a 1966 “Carryover” Shelby GT350, 1993 Isuzu Elf 150 dually, 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Silverado 4X4, and a Subaru-powered 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster replica.

AutoHunter Cinema has plenty of other videos and podcasts created by the experts behind ClassicCars.com, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace.
