Why consider Dansk parts for upgrading your Porsche, and who are they?

JP Group is a well-established and consolidated business that specialises in the production and distribution of automotive spare parts and accessories. They have worldwide operations and premises of a total size of 42,000 square meters. Martin Pedersen is the CEO of JP Group Holding a/s, which was founded by his father Johannes Pedersen in 1965. Martin has been leading the company since 1992.

We recently paid a visit to JP Group’s headquarters in Denmark. The visit provided an opportunity for us to gain insights into the manufacturing and distribution of automotive spare parts and accessories from a well-established global player in the industry. This article explores the highlights of the visit and sheds light on JP Group’s operations and the expertise they bring to the table and why they have been one of the best in the industry for so long.

Using Dansk parts on your Porsche provides benefits such as high quality, compatibility, performance equal to OEM, cost-effectiveness, and a warranty for peace of mind.

Johannes Pedersen initially worked as a bus driver, but in 1965 he began using his free time to make rubber mounts, hammers, and ashtrays for cars, which provided him the means to invest in machinery for producing car parts, his true passion.

Under Martin Pedersen’s leadership, who took over the company after his father’s passing, JP Group has expanded into a successful global enterprise with 42,000 square meters of operating space. Martin was born on August 5th, 1958 in Viborg and began working at JP Group in 1983. He has been the CEO since 1992.

Tom says “The history of our company started out with the automotive spare parts for air cooled cars. Actually the Volkswagen Beetle heat exchanges is amongst the first parts we did. So through that we moved into automotive industry and we have always been combining a lot of manufacturing processes.”

“So we are doing pressing, stamping, we’re doing pipe bending, a lot of welding, we do roller welding, we do MIG welding, tick welding, all kinds of stuff. It’s always been a trademark of Dansk to combine the different processes. A lot of manufacturers in the industry, they do focus on a few processes. But since the products that we do, the technical nature of the products is very complex, we have to combine all these different manufacturing techniques to do the complete products.”

“We have a strong history in the air-cooled where perhaps less people know the Dansk brand and the ability within the water cooled. We are here to stay in the same way as we have supported the air-cooled market for many many years.”

“Uniqueness of Dansk covers our ability to develop products through our 3D scanning, thoroughly manufacture those products in house in Denmark, and last but not least also on our Roller Dyno test and validate the products. So when they get out on the street and on the cars, they are well tested and ready for use.”

Martin said – “We started with Design 911 back in 2014, whereI started to know Karl and Design 911.They supply to the end customers, but they also do have a professional side where they do business to business. They are doing a very good branding of our products.”

“Design 911 is just a perfect match because they are the best in supplying Porsche products to the garages and to the private people to work at JP Group Automotive is very special because we have so many legs to go on that it’s not just selling products, it’s also about passion for cars.”
