As Toyota Pakistan announced specs and features, price, photos, and booking details of its first locally manufactured hybrid electric CSUV, Corolla Cross, we are here with more information on the car. The company introduced two variants, i.e., Cross 1.8HEV X (top) and Cross 1.8 HEV (base), and here are all the differences between these two cars.

Exterior

The X Auto Rain Sensor with Windshield wiper control, while the base variant doesn’t have these sensors. Secondly, the base variant does not offer roof rail, while X has a black one on its roof.

The luggage carrier in the top variant is powered with a kick sensor, while the base one comes with only an electric lock.

Interior

The rearview mirror in the top variant is electrochromic and has sensors in it that detect the volume of light from the headlights of vehicles approaching from behind. The mirror will change color or automatically dim brightness. In comparison, the base variant comes with a day and night rearview mirror, which can be tilted to reduce the brightness and glare of lights, primarily for high-beam headlights of vehicles behind.

The top variant offers illumination in the glove box, cup holder, front door, and instrument panel tray as extra features. Meanwhile, the room lamps are dome ones in the base variant compared to personal in the top one.

The Multi Info Display (MID) in the X variant is 7-inch colored compared to 4.2-inch colored in the base variant. Meanwhile, the size of the Infotainment system in the top variant is 9 inches compared to 7 inches in the base one. The base variant doesn’t offer a moonroof.

The front seat slide and recline in the top variant are powered (Driving) and manual (passenger), while it offers a powered driving seat as far as the front seat V/adjuster is concerned. Meanwhile, the base variant has manual adjustments.

The rear armrest in the X is PVC with a slide, while in the base variant, it is fabric. Last but not least, the seats in the HEV X are leather, while the base variant has fabric seats.

Safety

The extra safety features in the HEV X are the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). The rest of the safety features are the same in both variants.
