This ambitious project aims to establish a crucial two-lane connection between Gujranwala and the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway, significally enhancing regional transportation infrastructure.

During a recent inspection of the under-construction road, Chief Minister Naqvi demonstrated his commitment to timely completion by setting a firm deadline—December 25. This deadline underscores the urgency and importance attached to the project, emphasizing the government’s dedication to delivering tangible benefits to the people.

With 57% of the construction completed on the 15.2 km approach road and 80% on the stretch from Benazir Chowk to Wahndo Interchange, the project is well on its way to realization.

These numbers are indicative of the effective collaboration between the government and the FWO, fostering optimism among the public about the timely completion of this critical infrastructure development.

Upon completion, the Gujranwala motorway link road is poised to revolutionize travel between Gujranwala and Lahore, slashing the travel time to under 45 minutes. In addition to his focus on the Gujranwala project, Chief Minister Naqvi also visited the Akbar Chowk flyover project in Lahore. Announcing that the flyovers will be open for traffic by mid-November, Naqvi is showcasing a commitment to not only starting but completing infrastructure projects promptly.
