The series of decreasing prices by the local car companies is surprising because the market indicators were not predicting it. The reasons behind these decisions may be the establishment of a new government and the relative stability of PKR against the dollar. Whatever the reason, it is a good sign for the local industry, which has been marred by record-high car prices, late deliveries, and repeated shutdowns for the last couple of years.
Hopefully, the local industry will get out of this rut in the coming months, see some stability, and keep on passing the benefits to the consumers. This will increase the activity in the market and lead to higher sales by the companies, which is a good sign for the overall economy.
