Hyundai Motors India has unveiled the facelift of i20 boasting several enhancements and upgrades. Couple of days ago, Indian auto market welcomed a premium SUV cost at Rs around 11 lacs.

Exterior   

The new Hyundai i20 encompass a redesigned grille, updated LED headlamps, and distinctive inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Additionally, there are revised front and rear bumpers, fresh 16-inch alloy wheels, and a prominent 3D Hyundai emblem adorning the bonnet.

Interior

Coming inside the cabin, you’ll find an interior decked out in a stylish grey and black color combination. Notable features include a 7-speaker Bose audio system, semi-leatherette seats, a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, leatherette seats and door armrests, and the distinctive ambient sounds of nature feature.

Beneath the hood, you’ll find a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with ISG (Idle Stop & Go) technology powering the vehicle. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) gearbox, delivering 82 horsepower and 115 Newton-meters of torque. Hyundai offers a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, for this model.

Safety Features

As for safety, it comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, HAC, VSM, and rear parking sensors as standard safety elements. The vehicle also offers TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), over-the-air (OTA) updates, and connectivity through Hyundai’s BlueLink system.

In the fiercely competitive Indian market, the Hyundai i20 faces off against formidable rivals such as the Maruti Baleno and Dzire, Toyota Glanza, Honda Amaze, and Tata Altroz.
