The Jhal Magsi Desert Rally, renowned as a premier event in off-road racing, drew local and international drivers to conquer its challenging terrain in the latest edition. The rally unfolded with a series of key events:

On December 14, the participants engaged in a comprehensive Recce Day and Drivers Meeting to familiarize themselves with the course. Following this, on December 15, the Qualifying Round tested the drivers’ skills and determination. As the excitement escalated, December 16 witnessed the intense competition of the Production Class Race Day, culminating in the grand finale with the Professional Class Race Day on December 17.

Category A-Prepared

Amidst the roaring engines and billowing dust clouds, the rally witnessed a display of unparalleled skill and endurance. Faisal Shadi Khel emerged as the triumphant victor in the A-prepared category, covering a formidable 135-kilometer distance in an astounding one hour, 21 minutes, and 14 seconds. The runner-up position went to Jaffar Magsi, trailing just 17 seconds behind the winner, while Nawabzada Nadir Magsi secured a commendable third place, completing the course in one hour, 22 minutes, and 11 seconds.

Category B-Prepared

In the fiercely contested Category B-Prepared of the Jhal Magsi Rally 2023, the podium saw thrilling performances:

1. Position 1: Jam Kamal and Saleh Khakwani secured the top spot with an impressive final timing of 01:26:44.
2. Position 2: Nauman Saranjam and Salar Khan showcased remarkable skills, claiming the second position with a time of 01:27:33.
3. Position 3: Hussain Asif and M. Ali Murtaza displayed exceptional off-road prowess, securing the third position with a final timing of 01:31:23.

Category C-Prepared

In the challenging Category C-Prepared, the competition brought forth intense battles and unforeseen challenges:

1. Ayaz Khoso and Zeeshan Khan – Despite starting the race with determination, they faced unfortunate circumstances, resulting in a Did Not Finish (DNF) status.
2. Syed Zaheer Hussain and Ronnie Patel – Their journey came to an early end as they encountered difficulties, leading to a Did Not Finish (DNF) status.
3. Shahzaib Qureshi Hammal Hoth and Haris Qayyum – The pair faced challenges early in the race, resulting in a Did Not Finish (DNF) status.
4. M. Hoth – The race presented unforeseen obstacles, leading to a Did Not Finish (DNF) status for M. Hoth.

5. Attaullah Bangulzai and Abbas Bangulzai – Despite their initial efforts, the duo had to retire early from the race, receiving a Did Not Finish (DNF) status.

The Jhal Magsi Rally showcased not only the triumphs of the skilled participants but also the unpredictable nature of off-road racing, where challenges can arise at any turn.

Category D-Prepared:

In this fiercely contested category, the top positions were secured by:

1. Beiwargh Mazari & Zafar Ullah (01:39:34)
2. Zafar Baloch & Siraj Baloch (01:44:38)
3. Nasrullah Mazari & Nabi Buksh Mazari (02:02:21)

Category A-Stock:

Taimur Khwaja & M. Ramzan claimed the first position with a remarkable time of 01:32:14. They were followed closely by M. Marwat & Shahid Inayat (01:33:01) and Bebar Balouch & Fateh Muhammad (01:36:05).

Category B-Stock:

Sultan Bahadur Aziz & Nabeel Arshad secured the top spot with a finishing time of 01:35:27. Afnan Khalil & Rauf Ahmed and Imran Akbar & Mohsin Mushtaq secured the second and third positions, respectively.

Category C-Stock:

Rao Hammad Ur Rehman & Hassan Durani claimed the first position, completing the race in 01:50:30. Jehanzeb Umrani & Tayyab Khakwani secured the second position with a time of 03:40:01.

Category D-Stock:

In a closely contested category, the top three positions were secured by:

1. Bashir Ahmed Bharam Khan (02:14:13)
2. Shah Gul Mazari Wahid Bux (02:14:51)
3. Sadiq Mazari Dostain Mazari (02:46:37)

Women-Prepared Category:

Salma Marwat & Waleed Khan showcased exceptional skills, securing the first position with a finishing time of 01:59:59. Dina Patel & Ronnie Patel secured the second position with a commendable time of 02:17:21.

Veteran Category:

Anas Khakwani & Ghayour Khan emerged victorious in the Veteran Category of the Jhal Magsi Desert Rally, completing the race in 01:39:40. The second position went to Hameed Rind & Sultan Rind with a time of 01:52:18.
