Kawasaki ZX-6R is a lightweight, quick street bike without compromising its racing track features. Its winning formula lies in its incredible road handling and adjustable traction modes, providing complete value for money. For die-hard bike enthusiasts, it gives that exact cat-back exhaust sound accompanied by flames to cater to your speedy thrusts.
A Quick look at the Legacy
Kawasaki ZX-6R, also known as 636, was first introduced in 1995 under the badging of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with 600 CC displacement. Later, it was upgraded to 636 CC displacement bikes, which was introduced in 2003. Although 600 CC bikes were discontinued by the OEM in 2012, the latter has continued coming until now.
The model we reviewed is owned by a passionate rider, Saad, who purchased this 636 CC bike for 3.2 million PKR in 2013.
Kawasaki ZX-6R Specs
The ZX-6R proved itself incredibly louder for its engine specifications. Producing a power output of 131 HP at 13,500 RPM from a four-stroke engine, this bike has a 6-speed manual transmission, Nissin brakes, and Anti-Locking Brake System (ABS).
Modifications
Saad wanted his bike to be a stronger yet stylish one, for which he modified the majority of its components by deploying aftermarket parts. He exchanged the stock side mirrors with 10R mirrors for better visibility, changed its nose with a carbon-fiber one, paired with new mudguards, rear cowl, visor, bar ends, hose pipes, fuel tank opener, keys, and quick shifters. Not only this, but he changed the previous exhaust with a shorty by Akrapovic. Later, he got his bike tuned.
Overall, he spent a Lum-sum amount of 8 to 10 lacs in its modification. We surely believe that enthusiasts like him rarely exist. Are you looking to facelift your motorcycle? Read PakWheels’ bike blogs or buy a modified one here.
