When the local car makers are announcing decrease in their prices, there are also fake notifications taking rounds on social media translating fake downturns in prices. After Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) responded to the fake notification swirling around, Kia Lucky Motor also issued a notification rubbishing the news informing a price drop.
Here is the company’s notification, clarifying that the notification flaunting the decreased prices of Kia cars effective from 28th October, 2023 is fake.
Below is the fake notification:
Earlier, Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) responded to a similar notification surfaced on social media echoing PSMC had dropped its prices by Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 110,000, depending on the model and variant. However, Suzuki promptly labeled this as fake news. The company asserts that no official announcement of a price revision has been made.
Another Fake News
A couple of days ago, there was also a fake report labelling that Atlas Honda has slashed the prices of its prominent two-wheelers dubbed Honda CD 70 and the famous CG 125.
The report claimed that the price of Honda CG 125s has come down by Rs. 38,500, while the standard 125 has observed a decrease of Rs. 33,500. Meanwhile, the same report claimed that the most popular bike, Honda the CD70, saw a reduction of Rs. 22,000, which is considerable considering the current prices of these bikes.
To confirm the news, we contacted Atlas Honda officials and its dealerships. The company official didn’t reply to us; however, a major dealer of Honda bikes replied to our query. In a voice note, he denied the reports, stating that someone had been spreading rumors in the market for the last few days. “The price is not going to come down any time soon, and people should visit Atlas Honda website for the confirmed prices,” he added.
