Lahore’s iconic Lari Adda is all set to undergo a major facelift, transforming into a state-of-the-art airport-style terminal. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi is steering the wheel of progress by green-lighting a whopping Rs. 9 billion for the ambitious project.

With the former bus station in Badami Bagh as its canvas, the new bus terminal is not just a makeover; it’s a leap into the future. Modern amenities will be the heartbeat of this transportation hub, featuring swanky bus bays, expansive roads, comfy restrooms, and spacious waiting areas.

Adding flair to functionality, a seven-story parking plaza, Rs. 4 billion masterpiece, is set to rise on 46 kanals of land within the bus terminal. This vertical marvel is not just a parking lot; it’s a statement, accommodating a whopping 700 cars in its towering embrace.

The brains behind the operation, Deputy Commissioner of Lahore Rafia Haider, has called upon the relevant departments for a pow-wow in the coming days. The agenda? To fine-tune the orchestration of this mega project that promises to redefine Lahore’s travel landscape.

From Flyovers to Terminals

This move follows in the footsteps of Mohsin Naqvi’s recent spree of inaugurating mega projects that dot the cityscape. In November, the caretaker CM opened the floodgates of progress, unveiling four game-changers for the public. The Akbar Chowk Flyover, Cavalry Ground Underpass, Bedian Road Underpass, and Shahdara Flyover are now emblematic of a Lahore on the move.

As Lahore gears up for another transformation, the buzz is palpable. The wheels are in motion, and soon, Lahore’s Lari Adda will spread its wings, taking flight as an airport-style terminal.
