In this new video from DragTimes, we get to see two high-performing sports cars that are almost the same when it comes to numbers.
First, is a Corvette C8 Z06 powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine which produces up to 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The second car is a McLaren Artura, a hybrid sports car that draws power from twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine and an electric motor. The Artura has a combined power output of 671 hp and 531 lb.⋅ft of torque
When it comes to weight, the Artura has a significant advantage over the C8 Z06. The Artura with its carbon fiber body tips the scales at around 3,303 lbs while the Z06 comes in at 4,119 pounds. This gives the Artura an advantage over the heavier ‘Vette, especially on a straight-line race.
It should be interesting to see how the Corvette matches up against the lighter Artura in a quarter mile drag race. Watch the video to see who comes out on top!
