Same is the situation with auto makers like MG Pakistan.

Import curbs have left the auto makers grappling with challenges. Meanwhile, not enough inventory to produce vehicles at local assembly plants have nudged them to announce non-production days (NPD). Amid this chaos, historic low sales is another challenge.

Resultantly, the car companies are bringing different offers on their models. After Suzuki, Toyota and Honda, MG Pakistan also came with an amazing offer on its prominent car ‘HS Essence’.

The Offer

As per company’s social media post, the company is providing a discount of Rs. 200,000 for buyers registering a new HS Essence SUV. The announcement specifies that this offer is limited in terms of both stock availability and time duration. Additionally, customers who take advantage of this promotion will also receive “extra benefits.”

Earlier on September 1st, MG Pakistan jacked up the price of the HS Essence from Rs. 8,699,000 to Rs. 8,999,000, attributing this adjustment to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate.

Furthermore, the company recently revealed its intentions to introduce two new HS SUV variants, known as Excite and 2.0 AWD. This strategic move aims to bolster MG’s position in the market and enhance its competitiveness against rival brands.

With an expansion strategy, MG has set its sights on the sedan segment, which currently commands a substantial 45% share of the market. The company has expressed a positive outlook regarding the sedan market’s potential. He also disclosed that MG’s initial foray into this segment might involve the introduction of the MG GT.
