The country’s economic charts are still unstable, shattering the dwindling car sector. Even when the international financial institution, aka ‘International Monetary Fund’ (IMF), has agreed to give us a measly $3 billion, things will not get better anytime soon.
On the other hand, the new tax in Financial Bill 2023 has further aggravated the situation. Meanwhile, the car makers have been left with no choice but to launch attractive schemes and services to maintain the footfall at their deserted dealerships.
MG’s New Scheme
MG JW SEZ has made the decision to introduce a unique “Mobile Aftersales Service” exclusively for its customers. As a result, owners of HS Essence vehicles now have the option to choose their preferred location for maintenance services. This particular service proves highly advantageous, particularly in situations where breakdowns occur during journeys.
Earlier in May 2023, MG Pakistan increased the price of locally assembled MG HS Essence by Rs. 50,000, taking its price from Rs. 8,199,000 to Rs. 8,699,000. The primary and possible reasons behind the price are the devaluation of PKR against the USD, non-availability of LCS by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), difficulties in import and lack of raw materials.
Locally Assembled MG HS Essence
In December 2022, MG Motors Pakistan launched the locally assembled MG HS. According to the company, it resolved all the issues at the plant and got the license from the government for the local assembly.
The locally assembled crossover SUV has the same specs and features as the imported CBU one. Here is a brief
