Lahore City Traffic Police have announced another announcement for people seeking learner driving permits in Lahore. According to a tweet by the police, there is an addition to the Online Driving License service. “The citizens can now renew their learner permit while sitting in their homes,” the force announced, adding that online facilities for license renewal, duplicate, and international driving licenses will also soon be offered.

“Due to online license services, the rush at Khidmat centers has reduced up to 90 percent,” the police revealed.

The traffic police launched the recent driving license operation after an accident in Lahore by a minor which killed six people of a family. The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Lahore launched a massive crackdown against underage drivers and people driving without a license. This led to a lot of people going to different traffic police centers across the city to apply for the license, causing a rush.

To resolve this problem, traffic police have launched online services facilitating the citizens to apply for learner permits initially. Now, with the fresh additions, it will be easier for the people, and more will apply for their licenses. Along with that, the police also launched a door-to-door license service yesterday.
