After three years of its global launch, Toyota Corolla Cross facelift 2024 has been revealed in Thailand. The company introduced four new variants of the car 1.8L Sport Plus, HEV Premium, HEV Premium Luxury and HEV GR Sport. The crossover SUV has received upgrades in exterior, interior and safety features.
Exterior
The Corolla Cross facelift 2024 has received a new multi-dimensional front grille, making the front look sleeker and chicer. Combined with it, there are LED crystalized headlamps and LED fog lamps. The honey-combed front grille gives a resemblance with Chery Omada and Lexus RX front facias.
In addition to these, new Cross comes with frameless panoramic sunroof (top two variants), LED rear lamps with light guiding and 18-inch alloy wheels with two-tone finish and 225/50R18 tyres in three variants, while the GR Sport gets tyres of similar dimensions but a different alloy wheels design.
Interior
The key interior upgrades of this facelift include an electric parking brake in place of the pre-facelift’s foot operated mechanism, meaning it is combined with an automatic brake hold. Furthermore, the instrumental cluster in the higher variants is 12.3-inch full digital display, while the other ones have 10.1-inch touchscreen unit with support of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The seats in the new Corolla Cross facelift are offered in black or Dard Rose (red) colors. Meanwhile, the cabin light is now LED and the top two variants get wireless charger.
Engine
The facelift will continue to feature 1.8L naturally aspirated petrol engine in conventional ICE form and also a part of hybrid powertrain. The base variant has 2ZR-FBE 1.8L engine producing 140hp and 177 Nm of torque, while other three variants have 2ZR-FXE 1.8L engine, comprised of 98hp and 142 Nm for the combustion engine and 72hp and 163 Nm of torque from the electric drive motor.
Safety
The base variant gets the blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert (RCTA), while the HEV Luxury variant comes with Toyota Safety Sense suite of systems which includes pre-collision AEB, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with stop and go, lane departure warning, lane tracing assist and auto high beam. The two top variants, HEV Premium Luxury and HEV GR Sport got parking support brake option.
The safety features also include stability control, traction control, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill start assist and tyre pressure monitoring and 7 airbags.
Prices
The prices of these four variants are:
- 1.8L Sport Plus – Thai Baht 999,000 (PKR. 77.75 lacs)
- HEV Premium – Thai Baht 1,94,000 (PKR. 85.15 lacs)
- HEV Premium Luxury – Thai Baht 1,204,000 (PKR. 93.71 lacs)
- HEV GR Sport – Thai Baht 1,254,000 (PKR. 97.60 lacs)
