A Toronto-based collector is giving up a couple of his classic rides, and this Mercury convertible is offered up for grabs as the perfect summer ride for the Ford V8 enthusiasts out there.

“This gorgeous Vassar Yellow convertible has been the recipient of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration just over four years ago,” the listing begins. “Since that time, the vehicle has been driven no more than 50 miles.”

The vanity plate “1951MERK” speaks to fact that this car has been enthusiast-owned. On top of that, the body shows well throughout, and a set of wide-whitewall tires complete the period-correct look. Other features include a hood ornament, a two-piece windshield, a spotlight, and rear wheel skirts. The seller states that the convertible top has been replaced and features rebuilt hydraulics. The power windows, power seat, and power-retractable top are all functioning as designed.

Under the hood, momentum comes from a 225cid Ford flathead V8 that was rated at 112 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. The engine breathes through a Holley two-barrel carburetor, and power is sent rearward through a Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission.

Included in the listing is a four-minute video that includes a walkaround of the exterior, a demonstration of the power options, a look under the hood, and a look through the interior where we see a heater, a compass, and a factory AM radio installed. This car offers a complete package and is ready-to-drive.
