‘Biking is fun!’
I never believed it until I met Muhammad Nofil bin Nawaz with his Lolita, the Yamaha YBR EST. Besides this project bike and its owner, it was fun meeting the Barbie doll (Shumaila) riding as a pillion rider. Let’s check out in today’s blog that how is the experience of the doll riding on this racer bike.
Overview
This was a Yamaha YBR EST 125CC from the year 2016. The owner shared that he has had this bike for nine years and has transformed it numerous times into different looks but somehow, he has settled with the new Viper aura. The YBR is now entirely wrapped in an army green color with a sporty fascia.
Modifications
The YBR was not in stock condition. Countless updates were made to give it aggressive performance and these modifications included an addition of winglets imported from China, a dupe of short exhaust SC Project Bent Tip. Moreover, an aero disc was introduced in the rear wheel to improve the aerodynamics of the bike. Nofil shared that he has made the aero disc himself to improve maneuvering and give it a racer bike effect. However, he has lowered the bike 8 inches from the front and 3 inches from the rear due to which there is no suspension travel in the bike at the front, and suspension travel from the back is also minimal.
Furthermore, he has added underbelly guards, crash guards, neon lights, HIDs, and custom disc brakes. Not only this new Diamond tires 190/18, and 90/90 tires are also introduced at front and back to further improve road handling.
Best Feature
Instead of the fact, that the owner self-made the aero disc still it was made with the finish and attached to the rear wheel expertly transforming the overall profile of the bike.
Cons of Lowering a Bike
Nofil was a genuine bike rider, he shared with the readers that lowering the bike profile comes with disadvantages like least ground clearance. Where, minimal transmission travel leads to destructive jumps, rapid wear and tear of the mudguard, and bad impact on the underbelly while touching the speed breakers.
Project Cost
Nofil shared that he bought this Yamaha YBR 125CC for 160,000 PKR and has already invested around 240,000 on this bike making it worth exactly the same at which YBR is currently available.
We bring different motoring projects from diverse areas of Pakistan to highlight and appreciate their enthusiasm towards modification. If you like to know more about these interesting stories, head on to PakWheels’ official website.
