Skoda unveils the 2024 Skoda Superb, marking the fourth generation of its flagship model. The Czech automaker is known for its unpretentious and family-oriented approach. The 2024 Superb focuses on space and practicality, setting it apart in the midsize sedan segment.

2024 Skoda Superb Design

While the styling is evolutionary, the 2024 Superb undergoes significant changes in proportions, making it sleeker. The liftback sees a 43 mm increase in length and a 12 mm height boost, while the wagon is stretched by 40 mm and elevated by 5 mm. The redesign results in improved aerodynamics, with a 10% reduction in the hatchback’s drag coefficient to 0.23 and a 15% reduction for the wagon to 0.25.

Spacious Interiors

The repackaging efforts pay off with increased headroom for front and rear passengers. Cargo volume sees a boost, reaching 645 liters for the liftback and 690 liters for the wagon. The cabin gets a makeover, with reduced traditional controls and the introduction of Smart Dials, configurable knobs with 1.25-inch screens.

Engine Lineup

Skoda offers a range of engines, including a 1.5-liter gasoline unit with mild-hybrid technology and a larger 2.0-liter mill with power options of 204 hp or 265 hp. Diesel options include a 2.0-liter engine with 150 hp or 193 hp. A plug-in hybrid variant, exclusive to the wagon, combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor for a total output of 204 hp.

Technological Advancements

The 2024 Skoda Superb boasts a technological boost with matrix LED headlights providing 40% extra light output. It also features upgraded adaptive dampers, available as standard on the Laurin & Klement flagship trim. The Laurin & Klement variant offers a luxurious experience with a 14-speaker sound system, massaging front seats, and unique upholstery.

2024 Skoda Superb Innovations

True to Skoda’s reputation, the 2024 Superb incorporates 28 Simply Clever features, including new additions like Smart Dials and an electrically operated load cover for the wagon. The model retains beloved features like the ice scraper inside the fuel filler cap and an umbrella in the driver’s door.
