The Spectre is constructed on the amazing Architecture of Luxury platform which underpins three other Rolls-Royce vehicles but was conceived to accommodate an electric drivetrain when it was fine-tuned and ready for Rolls-Royce’s demanding customers. The all-aluminum spaceframe of the Spectre is incredibly customizable and 30% stiffer than any previous Rolls-Royce.

The Spectre may be an EV and a 2-door coupe, but it’s immediately identifiable as a Rolls-Royce. (Torsten Müller-Ötvös expected the Spectre to be “a Rolls-Royce first, then electric second.) You might not even recognize it as an electric Rolls-Royce if it didn’t lack exhaust pipes. The exterior design is inspired by many worlds outside of automotive, but we’re particularly enthralled by its ties to the styling of modern racing yachts.

The Pantheon grille is the widest ever installed on a Rolls-Royce and, since the Spectre is an EV, is designed to improve aerodynamic performance instead of cooling capacity.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre EV features its own specially created Spirit of Ecstasy which was perfected using over 830 hours of design and wind tunnel testing.

The Spectre’s doors are pillarless, constructed of 100% aluminum, laser-welded, and the largest ever on a Rolls-Royce. They feature a purpose-built version of the Effortless Doors system which operates as you open and close them. (You simply must see this in person!)

What Powers this Rolls-Royce Electric Vehicle?

The simple answer to the question of power in the Rolls-Royce Spectre is electricity, but humor us as we expand in some detail. The Spectre is propelled by a pair of current-excited synchronous AC electric motors developing prodigious combined system output: 577 horsepower and 664 pound feet of instantly available torque. The luxurious Spectre is a heavy vehicle for several reasons (we’ll address the battery in a moment) but this high-output electric drivetrain can propel it from 0 to 60 MPH in just over 4 seconds with the quarter mile flying by in just over 12 seconds.

The lithium-ion battery is the heart of Spectre and outputs a significant 102 kWh. It’s a hefty addition to any vehicle which makes the acceleration even more impressive, but the 700 kg battery offers an extra perk of significantly enhanced acoustic insulation.

Rolls-Royce engineers consulted with current owners and developed a Spectre that offers a range of 329 miles and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 34 minutes when using a 195 kW (DC) fast charger. The same charger will produce roughly 60 miles of range in around 9 minutes. The Rolls-Royce Spectre’s range makes it the perfect addition to your garage.

Bask in the Rolls-Royce Spectre Interior

The interior of the Spectre EV is customizable in nearly infinite ways through the Bespoke ordering process, but you’ll want to give careful thought to the available Starlight Doors – which are a beautiful complement to the Starlight Headliner. This option adds 4,796 illuminated “stars” to brighten the interior and relax passengers. Bespoke customers can also choose a variety of exquisite woods with the optional Canadel paneling.

The Illuminated Fascia will captivate front seat passengers as it illuminates the Spectre nameplate and an additional 5,500 stars. This trick detail is completely hidden from view when the Spectre is not running.
