The car that puts the ‘sports’ in SUV, Macan is probably where the Porsche lineage is at its most obvious. As the sportiest of compact SUVs, the Macan wears its heritage well. It’s the family-friendly vehicle for the driver who hasn’t given up on sports cars. Why should they when this does both? And especially with a few tweaks here and there, thanks to your friends at Design 911.

You only have to look at the sloping roof line and flyline, gnarly spoiler and front apron – not to mention the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, aligned with the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) – to know this is a Porsche. So, let’s make it a little more Porsche-y, shall we?

If you’re buying new then Porsche give you the option to create a Macan that’s most definitely your own. But what if you already have one – or the mods on offer aren’t really what you’re looking for? Step forward Design 911.

If you want to make your Macan an extension of your own personality and tweak the factory spec to make something a little livelier, then you’re on the right website. Let’s go!

But first, stop!

Brakes matter and if you’re looking to optimise your driving experience, it pays to be able to rely on your stopping power. Our brake component packages represent great value without compromising on the quality you expect from bumper to spoiler. Buying brake discs and pads at the same time ensures that everything is new at the same time. Bet you feel safer already.

Brake for the border

The Porsche Macan is big and fast and really shifts when you want it to – so you’ll need to be 100% confident that you can also stop when you need it to. These Brembo sports pads are tested to the highest levels on the track with decelerations from 270kph (168mph) so you’re in safe hands.

Meanwhile. EBC Brakes offer the world’s largest range of pads and discs with more than 5000-part numbers for every type of moving vehicle. They’ll have what you need for the Porsche you drive.

If you’re fully committed to a sports upgrade, then consider these bad boys. Drilled, grooved, or both, Black Diamond performance brakes will tame your beast. And when a Macan engine drags a two-tonne car to 60mph in 4.5 to 6.4 seconds, you’ll need to be sure it’ll safely decelerate too.

Want another option? These are pretty good.

Rottinger Graphite Line front discs are built to OEM standards and are compatible with every Macan from the 2.0ltr right up to the 3.6ltr turbo beast. And if you are the proud owner of the 2.0 litre model, Design 911 offer 86 products and brakes packages from industry leaders such as Brombo, Dansk and ABS.

Wheel good

After the paint, the four round things are probably the components that catch the eye the most. Make sure yours do your car justice. Whether you want 20” alloys in chrome or graphite, you’ll like this page. Meanwhile, HRE FlowForm® wheels are high quality but at an accessible price point.

There’s no point in owning a prestige marque piece like this if it’s not fully badged. So if your Macan didn’t come with ‘proper’ Porsche wheel caps, you’ll want to fix that. (And we do a special tool to help you fit it.)

A dodgy tyre pressure monitor can bring on panic attacks when you really don’t need them. A false alarm at night, at speed, and in the wet isn’t fun. So, replace what you have with what we offer. And some of them look pretty sharp.

Spacers, shims, longer bolts. If you’re replacing the former, you’ll probably need the latter. And they’re all right here.

And remember. Design 911 has that ‘Macan’ do attitude that keeps our customers coming back!
