Situation of Rain in Lahore
The report shows that B-Block Tajpura has ponding level of 20 inches, while its maximum level is also 20 inches. The Qartaba Chowk Mazang has 22 inches of ponding with the same maximum level.
Lakshmi Chowk has also maximum level of ponding with 24 inches, Bhaati Gate with 30 inches, and Empress Road with 18 inches. The rest of the major roads have ponding to their maximum levels. This means the commuters especially the bikers need to be very careful because such level of rain water makes riding very difficult and bikes usually stop working. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the first spell of monsoon has entered in the country and would continue till July 8, 2023. The department has asked the citizens to remain safe and avoid traveling in heavy rains.
