Today the car has covered just 21,000km from new and is offered in superb original condition having recently undergone a major service.

Reprinted below is ‘Art de l’Automobile’s description for this early product from the Porsche Exclusiv department:

  • Low mileage

  • Excellent condition

  • Matching colors, matching numbers

  • Only 58 examples produced without pop-up headlights

  • Extremely rare model from the Porsche Sonderwunschprogramm

  • 350,000

Paying homage to the mythical Porsche 935, the 930 Turbo Flatnose (Flachbau) is an extremely rare model which was only available as a special order from the Porsche Sonderwunschprogramm, which later became the Porsche Exclusive department. In this department, customization could be endless, whether mechanical or aesthetic, and obviously the customers who had access to this level of customization were hand-picked.

Delivered in November 1982, the car we are offering is one of 34 Flatnose produced with 1983 specifications. In the end, only 59 Porsche 930 Turbo Flatnose without the pop-up headlights were produced (58 in 1981 and 1982, and a 59th in 1984), which makes this example extremely rare. The 3.0L Flat 6 of the 930 Turbo produces 300 hp instead of 260 hp, the car reaches 100 km/h in 5 seconds with a maximum speed of approximately 260 km/h. In 1987, following the presentation of the 930 Turbo 3.3L, the Flatnose was finally offered in the catalogue!

Sold new on November 30, 1982 by the Porsche Exclusive department and delivered at the Stuttgart factory to a privileged customer, this Flatnose was in Zürich in 1983. Imported to Monaco in the 1990s, it was serviced there at the Porsche Center in 1995, the car had 7,000 km. It then joined a French collection. Painted in original Grand Prix White with a beige and black leather interior, this Porsche is in excellent condition and was recently serviced. It shows only 21,300 km on the odometer (certified).
