Getting an electric car in India has become a norm which in turn has escalated the competition among the market players yielding positive outcomes in country’s car market. In response to the fierce battle, MG Motors has recently reduced the prices of the MG ZS EV in India by as much as INR 2.30 lac.

The MG Motors in India offers three variants of MG ZS EV: Excite, Exclusive, and Exclusive Pro. The base Excite model is now priced at INR 22.88 lakh (ex-showroom), representing a reduction of Rs 50,000 compared to its previous cost. Similarly, the Exclusive and Exclusive Pro trims now carry price cuts of INR 2.30 lakh and INR 2.0 lakh, respectively.

In Pakistan MG ZS EV comes in two trim levels: MG ZS EV MCE Essence and MG ZS EV MCE Long Range with the price tag of Rs. 12,990,000 and Rs. 14,999,000, respectively. Price comparison of MG ZS EV in both country reveals a significant difference despite the currency difference.

Specs & Features

The ZS EV features a front-axle-installed 177hp, 280Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor, and its 50.3kWh battery provides a range of up to 461km on a single charge. MG states that the battery can be fully charged using a 7.4kW charger in approximately 9 hours, while a 50kW DC fast charger can charge it from 0-80 percent in an hour.

In terms of features, the MG ZS EV boasts a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and connected vehicle technology. Safety is a priority, with amenities including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill descent control, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as Traffic Jam Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Speed Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist Functions.
